What Hollywood Smile involves
A smile makeover — the "Hollywood smile" — redesigns all the teeth that show when you smile, usually 8–10 in each jaw, so that colour, shape, length and alignment work together with your face. It is done with E-max veneers where the teeth are essentially healthy and zirconia crowns only where a tooth is broken, heavily filled or root-treated, all made in the clinic’s own laboratory and fitted within one visit. Done well, it is the most transformative treatment in dentistry; done badly, it is the "Turkey teeth" seen on social media — uniform, opaque, oversized crowns on teeth that were cut down needlessly.
What separates the two is planning and restraint. A digital design from your photos and scan sets tooth length against the lip line, width against the face, and a shade that is bright but believable; a mock-up placed over your teeth on day one shows you the design in the mirror before anything is prepared. Preparation stays within enamel for veneers, and a crown is used only when a tooth needs one. The shade you approve is the shade you get, and if you ask for a white that will look false, you will be told so honestly.
The honest limits: a makeover does not straighten severe crowding (orthodontics does), it does not treat gum disease (that comes first), and it is a lifelong commitment — prepared teeth will always need their veneers or crowns. It also does not need to involve every tooth: a good design covers the smile line and leaves untouched teeth alone, whitened if necessary to match.

Techniques and options
Digital smile design and mock-up
Photos of your face and smile and an intra-oral scan are used to design the new smile — length against the lip, proportions, midline, shade. A resin mock-up of the design is placed over your teeth on day one so you can see it, adjust it and approve it before any preparation.
E-max veneers on the front teeth
Lithium disilicate veneers 0.3–0.7 mm thick, bonded within enamel — the material and technique that give translucency and a 10-year written warranty. See the Veneers page for detail.
Zirconia crowns where needed
Broken, heavily filled or root-treated teeth are crowned in layered zirconia or E-max; back teeth in monolithic zirconia. The plan says which tooth gets which and why.
Gum contouring and whitening
A gummy or uneven gum line is reshaped with a laser or minor surgery at the design stage; untouched teeth are whitened first so the restorations are matched to the final shade.
On-site laboratory and try-in
All restorations are made in the building, tried in together with water-soluble paste to check the whole smile — shade, shape, symmetry, lip support, bite — adjusted, then bonded under rubber dam. A night guard is made for grinders.
What happens on surgery day

Before you travel: send photos of your face and smile and close-ups of the teeth; the team proposes the number of veneers and crowns, gum work if any, and a written all-inclusive price.

Day 1: examination, cleaning, X-rays; digital scan and photos; smile design; mock-up placed and approved with you; shade chosen in daylight. Gum contouring if planned.

Day 2: preparation under local anaesthetic — enamel-limited for veneers, full for teeth needing crowns — final scan, temporaries fitted from the design.

Days 3–5: the laboratory presses, mills, layers and characterises the restorations; you wear the temporaries and give feedback on shape.

Recovery timeline

E-max veneers carry a 10-year written warranty and zirconia crowns 5 years, in your name; the smile design itself carries a 2-year warranty. With care the restorations commonly last 10–15 years or longer.
Untouched teeth remain natural and may darken with time, which is why the design covers the smile line and whitening is matched first.
A makeover is for life: prepared teeth will always need their restorations, and individual pieces are replaced from the laboratory records if ever chipped.

How to prepare

- 2.Treat gum disease or decay at home first, or allow a day here.
- 3.Think about shade honestly: the most convincing results are one or two shades lighter than the whites of your eyes.

Aftercare at home
